I get it, you’re busy and maybe self-care just sounds like ANOTHER thing to DO. How often do you get to the end of the day and just want to shut down?
Because, well… Today was A LOT.
After a full day, you CRAVE the mindlessness of Netflix and sleep.
At the same time, you wish you had the energy to give to your family, your partner, or maybe to give to a workout, making a healthy dinner, etc.
But let’s be honest – right now, you don’t.
You’re under a lot of pressure and trying to ride the waves. You’re stretched thin, and what you’re doing right now doesn’t feel much like self-care, does it? It feels like shutting down at the end of the day while avoiding the dread of tomorrow’s stressors.
That’s not how it should be, and whenever I coach a high-level professional or business owner in your
spot, we work to incorporate “self-care” a little differently.
Self-care, when done right, rejuvenates your spirit and makes you feel READY to tackle tomorrow!
It also helps you be present so you can enjoy the little opportunities life gives you to enjoy.
And don’t we all need that?
I think yes. So without further ado, here are…
5 ways you can incorporate some beautiful self-care in FIVE MINUTES or less each day.
[Try one per day this week and just see how you feel]
- Drink 20oz water before your coffee in the morning to hydrate your body and minimize stress and anxiety.
- Step into the sunshine and breathe deeply to boost serotonin and oxygen for a mental clarity
boost. - Walk around the block after eating to improve digestion and set ( or reset ) your focus.
- Order a healthy dinner to be delivered from your local eatery or prepare a simple, sit-down
dinner (like a smoothie bowl with all the toppings!). - Write Daily Highlights in bed to recap the top 3 moments/accomplishments of the day so you go to bed feeling proud regardless of how the day went.
- BONUS TIP: remember that your health >>>> your burnout.
You don’t have to get to the point of burnout before you recharge. Find ways to do it daily and you’ll see it repay you tenfold.
ENJOY, mama!
