What is an empowering daily ritual?
We know rituals are a form of self-care.
But empowering daily rituals? Those are the juicy habits that inspire you to do what matters most to you. Having an empowering daily ritual will give you the energy and motivation to do the things you need to do.
Later in this post I will take you through a few different methods you can practice daily to help you remain focused and motivated. These rituals can help you feel better about yourself in everything you do. They are easy for you to do and you can take them with you when you go to work and use them when you are at home.
Empowering Daily Rituals
Rituals come in three different forms. The essentials, 90%ers and what you love but you just can’t find the time. Let me explain each to you before we move on so you have a good idea of where to start.
The Essentials-Things you do daily no matter what and you could do it in a car if you had to. Like drinking water or appreciating three things in your life right now.
90%-ers-This can be whatever comes to your mind and can change constantly, that is ok! This empowering daily ritual will help you fill a need inside you. You can read a book, meditate, or exercise. They will be done, you guessed it, 90% of the time.
Things You LOVE but you just can’t find the time to do-These rituals you will do when you have an extra 15 minutes. I love to paint and this is something I do when I have a little extra time for myself. You could even sit and do nothing, just relax.
Empowering Daily Rituals to Start Your Day
Starting your day off in the right way and ending it on a positive note is another very empowering daily ritual you can start to practice today. Here are a few examples of some rituals I like to keep in rotation for my empowering daily rituals
You can choose what order you do them in, the important thing is that you do them.
Breathe and Stretch – Simple stretching exercises and taking a few deep breaths will help to get your blood flowing and provide you with a boost of energy in the morning.
Visualize – Close your eyes and spend a few moments visualizing. Think about what you want and imagine that you already have it. If it is a new house, then see yourself walking through the front door. If it is your dream job, then see the new you as the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. Make the feelings extremely intense here. This will be an incredibly happy session for you that you can’t wait to do again and again until it really happens.
Positive Mantras – Write down a list of positive words or sentences and speak them out loud or you can say them in your head. Pick something that will help connect you to your goal.
Review your Goals – Post them somewhere you can see them every day to read them. Get energized by this and feel all the positive power flowing through your body.
Start on your Daily Tasks – Get going on your daily to-do list. Not feeling motivated? Pick an easy task first to help build momentum and use that energy to keep going!
Write in A Journal
Maintaining a journal is a fantastic way to measure how far you have come and help to make any adjustments. If you do not have a journal, then I suggest you start one today. At the end of every day write down your wins, brag about where you pushed through and write about the feelings you have experienced. You can draw, doodle, or add whatever you want to help inspire you.
6 Gratitude Journal Benefits
Anything will work – you can use the most basic notepad – it really does not matter. Do not use your phone or a computer-based journal. Use a pen and paper instead. When you write things down there is something really empowering that happens within you. When you hit a rough patch or you are feeling down, read your journal entries to help remind yourself of why you started. Who knows you might find the missing piece to what you were looking for!
Empowering Daily Rituals to End Your Day
It is also important to note that you need to end the day right. This will help to make sure that you get a good night’s rest.
Plan for the next day – Reflect on your day and what you completed. Celebrate what you did today. Review where you can improve and list what you need to do for tomorrow. This will help you get a jump start the next morning.
Review your Goals again – Read your goals and your reasons why for achieving them again at the end of the day. Make sure that everything is aligned for you to achieve your end result. Make changes where you need to.
Positive Mantras – Review your affirmations again
Get Enough Sleep – Sleep is essential for you to be operating at your fullest potential. Make sure that you get the right amount of sleep for you so that your body and your brain can reset and recharge.
Empowering daily rituals are something that feeds our mind, body, and soul. Pick at least three rituals that will help you connect with yourself. Tell me below, what rituals are you committed to starting today?
